Breaking Cycles of Inequality by Improving Adolescent Social Mobility

Thursday, March 7, 2019 · Paris, France

Lifespan Development

Growing up under conditions of social and economic adversity undermines adolescents’ development, cognitive abilities and health. Yet adolescents are also active agents in developing their own socioeconomic status: adolescent attitudes, decisions, and behaviours contribute to social inequalities. This symposium combines research examining how adolescents both break and maintain social immobility.
