Adult Aging and Social Cognition: The Role of Context, Cognitive Resources, and Training in Older Adults' Theory of Mind

Saturday, March 9, 2019 · Paris, France

Lifespan Development

Older adults perform worse than young on most standard ‘theory of mind’ tasks which require mental state decoding. In this symposium, we explore the influence of: (i) contextualising social interactions, (ii) cognitive capacity changes in old age, and (iii) training programmes; on adult age differences in theory of mind.
