Why Do People Donate to Ineffective Charities?
When people donate to charity, they often choose to donate to ineffective charities. Why is this? Psychologists have only recently started to investigate this question. This session explores the roles that misconceptions and preferences antithetical to effectiveness play in explaining this phenomenon.
