How can we best understand and overcome science skepticism? An overview of three independent research programs discusses the consistent predictors of skepticism toward many scientific theories (e.g., evolution) and specific topics (e.g., GM foods, vaccinations). Discussion centers around some paths for overcoming skepticism and promoting support for science.
