How Artificial Intelligence Affects Us: Belief of Free Will, Prosocial Behavior, and Search-Term Biasing

Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Social Psychology

Robots and technologies powered by Artificial Intelligence have become prevalent in our time. This symposium first provides a theoretical framework that employs psychological thought-experiments to differentiate AI from humans. Eighteen studies then explore the impact of AI on observers’ feeling of inspiration and prosocial actions, and their self-fulfilling post-search biases.
