The Intersection of Collective Memory and Social Identity
Members of groups form, share, and preserve memories that bear on the group identity. These collective memories can foster group cohesion or result in social fractures. This symposium will explore the reciprocal relation between intersecting identities and collective memory in African, European, Latin American, and North American samples.
