Translation Between Basic Science in Addiction and the Diagnosis of Substance-Use Disorders
Advances in basic addiction science have had limited influence on current diagnostic systems for Substance Use Disorders. Presentations in this symposium will address how advances in addiction neuroscience and behavioral economics can be used to improve the validity of diagnosis and increase our understanding of the fundamental nature of addiction.
