Thursday, March 7, 2019 · Paris, France

Social Psychology

This symposium examines the refugee crisis, asking how we can understand and potentially reduce tendencies of distrust and ingroup favoritism toward newcomers? We examine Syrian refugees’ attitudes regarding host citizens, as well as how refugees’ body language and their effort at integration influences host citizens’ trust and willingness to help.
