Why Do Parents Talk to Their Children About Race? Consideration of Parent and Child Beliefs, Values, and Experiences
In this symposium, the racial socialization practices of U.S.-based parents will be examined. Specifically, the presenters will discuss measurement of racial socialization in addition to findings related to the beliefs, values, and experiences associated with parents' racial socialization.
