Abstract

Neurodegenerative diseases may impact sexual functioning. The present study investigated sexual response to erotic stimuli in patients with neurodegenerative diseases using objective, non-invasive laboratory tests. In a test of autonomic response, patients with behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia showed lower autonomic arousal compared with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and healthy controls.
