Abstract
Two studies were conducted exploring the effects of social exclusion on willingness to buy products that convey belongingness. Exclusion was manipulated via a memory task, or a ball throwing task. In both studies participants were willing to pay more in the social exclusion condition compared to the inclusion condition.
