Abstract

Generativity, defined as concern for future generations is theorized to be associated with attachment security, but there has not been any research to support this. Approximately 70 adolescents completed the Adult Attachment Interview and a measure of generativity. Dismissing attachment was negatively associated with generativity only for female participants.
