Organic Versus Self-Induced Brain Injury: Does Brain Injury Matter When It Comes to the Determination of Guilt?

Abstract

This study investigated organic or self-induced brain injuries influencing the perception morality of defendants with either high or low behavioral consistency pre-injury. Analyses revealed that the defendant who had low behavioral consistency prior to the organic TBI was morally justifiable than the defendant with the self-induced TBI.
