Abstract

The moderating effect of attachment anxiety on the link between negative romantic touch attitudes and relationship quality was examined. Results showed that negative touch predicted lower relationship quality when attachment anxiety was low and average, however the association was weak or non-significant when attachment anxiety was high. Implications are discussed.
