Abstract

Attentional effects of subliminal peripheral visual landmark cues are reported. In studies 1 & 2, attentional benefits of subliminal cues were observed among individuals with relatively low thresholds for discriminating peripheral stimuli. In study 3, low-contrast, peripheral cues elicited a clear parietal-occipital P1-N1 ERP complex without conscious awareness.
