Abstract

Dimensions of psychopathy are theorized to be associated with specific motivational profiles, at least in incarcerated populations. Generalizability of the relationship between appetitive and aversive motivational systems and psychopathy dimensions was tested in a nonincarcerated sample. Results highlight psychopathy motivational similarities and differences between incarcerated and nonincarcerated populations.
