Collectively Sacred: The Effect of Value Fusion on Sacred Values

Abstract

The current research investigates if sacred values are values that have intertwined with relevant social identities, referred to as value fusion. In 4 studies, we find that values fused with ingroups are more likely to be sacred than values not fused.
