Abstract

This study examined perceptions of individuals on the basis of personality. Participants significantly associated introverts with negative traits, were less likely to want to befriend introverts, and recommended introverts for less prestigious jobs and lower salaries. This might be preliminary evidence of a societal bias against introversion.
