Religiosity and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies Among the Hindus in India

Abstract

Past research showed that cognitive reappraisal dimension of emotion regulation was associated with religiosity among monotheistic religions. In the present study one hundred Hindus responded to two religiosity scales and one measure of cognitive emotion regulation strategies, and found significant association between the two variables among polytheistic religion.
