Abstract

Executive fatigue induces an increased preference for immediate rewards. But executive control may also be involved in the choice process itself. To dissociate this, we compared the effects of executive fatigue and time pressure. Executive fatigue increased the choice bias, while time pressure increased choice stochasticity, without affecting choice bias.
