Abstract

This study examines the effect of selection and compensation goals on the driving behaviors of older adults with vision loss. Participants with worse vision and higher loss-based selection orientation were more likely to use driving self-regulation strategies. Individuals higher in compensation orientation made greater use of alternative modes of transportation.
