Sense of Agency for Action-Effect Grouping with Illusory Visual Events

Abstract
In the present study, we investigated whether action-effect grouping, happening before production of the sense of agency, occurred for non-existent effect of action. In our experiments, the cross-modal double-flash illusion was used. The results showed that the sense of agency occurs even when an illusory visual effect is used.
