Abstract

Respiratory-sinus-arrhythmia (RSA) was measured in mother-infant-grandmother triads during a moral elevation induction paradigm. Self-reported measures of resilience and RSA were compared. Perception-of-self, a facet of resilience, was negatively associated with change in RSA during moral elevation. Additionally, increased depressive symptoms was related to increases in RSA activity at peak elevation.
