Abstract

Tiredness is known to impair self-control, but is less-often considered in connection with increased sexual arousal. Analyzing daily diary reports from 52 gay and bisexual men in New York City, we found that current tiredness was associated with poorer emotion regulation and critically, among younger men, with increased sexual arousal/interest.
