Abstract

The present studies focused on the development of the Interpersonal Outcome Expectancies for Thinness (IOET), a novel measure assessing for a cognitive risk factor associated with eating disturbances in females. Results from two studies indicated that the IOET is unidimensional, temporally stable, and possesses good construct validity and predictive utility.
