U.S. Supreme Court Justices’ Ideology and Alignment of Their Rulings with the Views of the APA

U.S. Supreme Court justices’ ideology scores were compared with the views of the APA in cases before the Court. Liberal justices sided with the APA significantly more often. Moderate and strong conservatives differed, in that moderates frequently sided with the position expressed by the APA.
