Abstract

Help-seeking moderates the relationship between perceived discrimination and anxiety for African American women, but not African American men. Similarly, help-seeking moderates the relationship between perceived discrimination and depression for African American women, but not African American men. Sense of belonging is associated with lower rates of depression for both groups.
