Mental Health Burden and Treatment Are Not Evenly Distributed on Campus

Abstract

College students who identify as male, heterosexual, and upper SES have lower levels of anxiety and depression (N = 2,054). However, even after accounting for that lower burden, men and heterosexual students are much less likely to receive treatment. Implications for measurement and intervention are discussed.
