Abstract

The sexual revolution sought to emancipate women’s sexuality from repressive gender norms and sexual roles. Today, women experience greater sexual freedom, yet research suggests sexual norms may still operate to discourage women’s sexual agency. Attitudes towards women’s sexual agency were studied finding little support for punitive evaluations
