The Role of Situation and Trait in Determining Aggressive Behavior Using the Hot Sauce Paradigm: : An Experimental Study

Forty-eight students completed big five personality trait and Buss-Perry aggression scales. Then, they were randomly assigned to two groups, received either positive or negative feedback. Afterwards, they completed the hot sauce paradigm to measure aggressive behavior. Results showed that situation play much important role than traits in determining aggressive behavior.
