Analysis of Temporal Features of Facial Expressions Using Motion Capture and Hidden Markov Model

This study aims at finding the spatio-temporal patterns of dynamic facial expression by using the combination of PCA and HMM. The participants saw movie clips and the facial landmarks were recorded using a motion capture system. We examined the relationship between the temporal changes of facial states and the mood.
