The Young Male Syndrome in Domain-Specific Risk Taking

Abstract
The young male hypothesis proposes that young males are likely to display excessive risky behaviour compared to females and older adults. We found support for this hypothesis in some domains but not in others. Moreover, findings show that risk-taking progressively decreases in both sexes but the pattern differs within domains.
