Factors Associated with the Development of Intrusive Auditory Memories

Using aversive auditory stimulus to induce intrusive emotional memories, the present study investigated factors associated with the development of intrusive auditory memories. The study found that an increased number of analogue involuntary memories was associated with higher emotional response and recognition memory to the traumatic content, and higher trait anxiety.
