Abstract

The physician-patient relationship plays a crucial role in treatment. However, its influence on the therapy of acute pain has been neglected. This study aimed to investigate its influence in accordance with the open-hidden medication paradigm. Patients with additionally daily doctor visits perceive their pain medication treatment as more successful.
