Abstract

In the previous study showed that when a subgoal is fulfilled, prevention-focused individuals show lower performance than those with promotion-focused individuals. However, this study showed that when the focus is on the superordinate goal, both promotion- and prevention focused individuals show high performance, even if a subgoal is fulfilled.
