Abstract

Using an ecological task in virtual reality, we compared the effect of mindfulness and mindwandering, respectively linked to positive and negative cognitive outcomes, on prospective memory. If the benefits of mindfulness seemed to depend on interindividual differences, these two opposite cognitive states had similar impacts on prospective memory capabilities.
