Abstract

As agreement in parents’ beliefs that children use their emotions to manipulate increased, co-parenting satisfaction increased more when fathers had higher manipulation beliefs than mothers compared to when mothers had higher manipulation beliefs than fathers. When mothers reported valuing anger in children, they also reported greater co-parenting satisfaction.
