Faith in Intuition: Associations with Motivation and Goal Pursuit

Faith in intuition is associated naïve optimism. How does this optimism affect goal pursuit? We find that individuals high in faith in intuition feel closer to achieving their goals, and are more motivated by motivational quotations. Combined, a reliance on intuition may result in unrealistically optimistic views about goal progress.
