Abstract

Multichannel electroencephalography was collected during a face/non-face paradigm in 8-month-old infants with and without an older sibling with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We observed atypical event-related potentials and microstates, indicating less effective engagement of attentive brain states to faces, in infants with ASD outcome and poorer socialization at age 3.
