Abstract

An experimental task was designed to verify the hypothesis of the mirror system’s involvement in the prediction of a motor action’s outcome, namely the ball trajectory in a penalty. Results showed that soccer expertise modulated the performance in the experimental task, with soccer experts being less impulsive and more accurate.
