Target Characteristics of the Dot-Probe Task Moderate the Occurrence of Attentional Bias Towards Angry Faces in the General Population

Abstract

In four dot-probe experiments (301 participants in total), we showed that non-anxious participants show an attentional bias towards angry faces. However, this bias seems to be moderated by (1) the number of stimuli presented on the target display and (2) the activation of a social processing mode in participants.
