Abstract

This study examined difficulty in emotion regulation (ER) as a moderator for the associations between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and adult distress symptoms. The results indicated a moderating role of difficulty in ER, with greater difficulty in ER associated with stronger relations between ACEs and distress symptoms.
