Abstract

Participants gambled for a longer period of time when exposed to androstenol, and scores on a Sensation Seeking Scale indicate an interaction between scent administration and personality characteristics. Thus, the administration of female pheromones may lead to an increased desire in males to engage in sensation seeking or risk-taking behaviors.
