Abstract

This study examined loneliness as a predictor of suicide risk when coping is accounted for in a sample of college students. Results of a hierarchical regression analysis indicated that loneliness accounted for significant variance in suicide risk even after accounting for the variance explained by coping. Some implications are discussed.
