Abstract

Working adults were surveyed to examine the extent to which gender stereotypes exist in compensation packages. As hypothesized, cash bonuses, stock options, and salary were perceived to be more valuable to male employees, whereas flexibility, sick leave, and health benefits were perceived to be more valuable to female employees.
