Abstract

Using a longitudinal, genetically sensitive design, we found that while symptoms of ADHD were stable throughout mid-childhood and consistently predicted higher symptoms of anxiety and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) in early adolescence, maternal hostility in mid-childhood independently predicted higher symptoms of ADHD and ODD in early adolescence.
