Abstract
We studied the potentially protective role of self-compassion on psychosomatic distress (PD) in the presence of personality traits. We found that above the contribution of personality, the interaction between Perfectionism and Self-Compassion was the most powerful protective factor, suggesting self-compassion as a target for interventions for treatment of PD.
