Male Gender Dichotomization and Endorsement of Gender Clichés

By examining whether gender status threat induces men to grant greater endorsement to clichés that exaggerate gender dissimilarities, this study revealed that when under threat, men were seemingly unaffected and their endorsement was moderated by the degree to which they stereotyped the approval of gender clichés as feminine.
