Abstract

We examined how family hostility impacted the association between discrimination and depression, anxiety, and physical health symptoms. Participants self-reported on all variables. Interaction effects indicated that lower levels of discrimination were associated with fewer mental and physical health symptoms in the absence, but not presence, of family hostility.
