Abstract

This poster presents a psychometric analysis of Emmons’ (1999) personal strivings measurement approach adapted to assess people’s motives for volunteering, using a national sample of adult volunteers. Results reveal strong evidence of internal consistency reliability and convergent and discriminant validity for 7 of 9 volunteer strivings scales.
